This is a little star of a machine and well worth the money, It is light, easy to use and very good looking. It takes about an hour to set up and run and after that it has all been plain sailing. The only reason it has not got five stars is the memory. IGB is not enough so I had to purchase an upgrade for about £25 which was really easy to fit. The covery is labelled "memory" so you know where to go and there after one screw and a clip does the job. If you are looking for a netbook I would recommend this one wholeheartedly.

"Which" recommended this netbook as a best buy and I am delighted with it .
It arrived well packaged and within a few days of ordering.
The instructions to set up were easy to follow, and it found the wireless adsl immediately.
( I still dont understand how to insert the product key though, which it asks for when opening some picture emails. The 20 digit number is written on the underneath of the netbook but when you type those digits in the box provided, a message comes back saying its not accepted...?)
Its compact, easy to operate and looks good too which is a bonus . The keyboard keys are raised and well spaced out which is good if you two finger tye!
The small screen takes a little getting used to but increasing the zoom level can compensate and make things a little easier on the eye. Having said that , the type is still very clear even when small.
The portability is brilliant and although the netbook is light it feels very sturdy, and sits easily on my lap. It does get a little warm after a long stint, but that says more about the fact that its so great to use , its easy to forget the time!
The battery level readings are a bit confusing as the % doesnt seem to tally with the figure the time remaining indicates. I thought the battery would last for 8 hours but I realise now this depends on what you use it for. However its really easy to recharge , so this is not an issue.

I spent a long time looking for a netbook as was initially thorougly confused by just how many things should be considered when buying. The choice is so vast and its a lot of money to spend to get it wrong. Having decided on the Samsung it does everything I want quickly and efficiently so am happy to recommend it (especially to those like me who are not computer experts)

Having read many of the reviews from previous customers it would be nice to know specifically which of the samsung programmes can safely be uninstalled for someone using the netbook for basic useage ie internet and word processing, plus storing photos.

Bought this to replace a laptop in its dying gasps so I wasn't after a really slick machine, just something to do my coursework and presentations on if the laptop gives in before I've saved for a PC.
Delivery was prompt and the netbook was well packed so very happy there.
Once I opened the laptop it looks very good, sturdy and sits well on my legs even with the screen tipped back fairly far.
This netbook is stuffed full of software and update managers that you don't want, don't need and just slow it down. I got rid of all of them using a free online program, as I'm not so technically minded. That and a 2GB RAM upgrade, which was incredibly easy to do, even for me, means the laptop runs fairly well, even with multiple jobs.

Very strangely you're given Microsoft works with no product key. Pretty annoying when you have to go through the configuration step every time you start it until the trail runs out, and I've got no money left to buy it properly.

The webcam is pretty poor.

Overall I love this netbook, with the caveat that I didn't love it so much until all the rubbish got removed and I bought extra RAM. But that's such an easy thing anyone could do, it shouldn't put you off buying this.

The customer service from this company was fantastic. When I received the initial drive it didn't work and I was concerned that it might be incompatible with my powerbook G4 however I phoned computer trading who were extreemly helpful and sent me a replacement drive the next day. This one works perfectly. I am very pleased with my new drive as it saves the cost and hassle of sending my computer off to get the internal dvd drive repaired.

A note for G4 powerbook users. The drive did not come up on my screen as an icon until I inserted a DVD and in order to insert the DVD it was necessary to use the mains adaptor cable. Once I had plugged drive into mains and inserted DVD it worked as normal

I also bought this to use with an eee PC - a 901 running Ubuntu-eee - and it works perfectly. I've set up the 901 so VLC starts automatically when a DVD is inserted, and all the DVDs I've tried play at full-screen with no stuttering or dropped frames. It also seems happy getting power from the USB port with no need to use the separate power supply that comes with it. The build quality is reasonable although not particularly rugged.

I would recommend this device for any laptop or netbook that doesn't have a built-in CD/DVD drive. Note that it reads and writes to CD, but is read-only with DVDs.

If like me you have a sub notebook (Lenovo Thinkpad x61s) without a CD drive then this little external DVD/CDRW drive is perfect. I needed to install a new operating system on the laptop and this drive was was just what I needed. It is a good size, nice and slim, so not much extra weight to carry around and works just from the supplied USB cable, though there is an A/C adapter supplied as well. the drive is much more robust than I was expecting and should last well in normal use, though I don't expect it will survive being dropped from a height! its nice and quiet which is good as you don't want lots of whizzing sounds when watching DVD's in fact the only thing you will need to do to watch DVD movies is download a DVD codec if you don't have a software DVD player like WinDVD already. It arrived very quickly after ordering and its excellent especially for only £30ish!

I hadn't realised how small this unit was when I ordered it. When I got it I thought had been sent the wrong one. Hooked it up to my Netbook and there it was 500gb of spare hard drive space. Has worked well so far, use it to back up my documents, music and programs and still have lots of space left so that my son can back his stuff up as well, so now when the house burns down as long as I remember to grab the drive we are OK.

This is a plug and play unit no software or anything else to install, however if you want you can install the Turbo and Energy saving software. I have done this and have had no problems with either of these two features. Can't comment on the Turbo feature but the Energy saving one allow you to automatically switch the power off to the unit after a given time. Not sure how much energy this will save as it is powered from the USB anyway.

Excellent Price and looks really stylish not sure what else you could ask for in a portable drive. The second Buffalo Drive I've got, the previous was an old shock proof which I paid a lot more for but was pleasantly suprised with the build quality and performance of this one as I was buying on a budget needing the maximum amount of portable storage sub £50, very satisified with my purchase, definatley 5 out of 5

This HD is very small and neat. It does not require a separate power supply. The only slight niggle is the supplied USB cable; I had know idea the made them this short; it is about 25cm long. This means the HD has to sit ontop of the PC case, I hope it does not over heat. Apart from that it if fine, plugged it in , 2 mins later it is fully in use. I can use it for Doc and photo back ups mainly. Nice..

Hello!

I've had this netbook in the pink yoghurt colour for about 2 months now and I absolutely LOVE it!!! It's extremely thin and lightweight, large touchpad and very ergonomic keyboard and clickbutton which is flush with the outeredge of the netbook which is much kinder on the thumbs...I took back the samsung n150 for that reason cus the clickbutton below the touchpad was tiny and hurt my thumb after awhile! I really do love this netbook, I've had no problems with it at all and it's a joy to use.
